About Me
I've spent many years working in the financial services industry, qualifying as an actuary with Scottish Widows in 1989. I then held a number of senior management positions including a 2 year spell in France. Most recently I was Director of Retirement and Life Insurance products for Norwich Union (now Aviva).
This last role at Norwich Union convinced me that the best place to help individuals manage their wealth as it grows and then to use this wealth to provide income when needed lies with a financial planner.
Having originally graduated in Maths and Statistics, I've always had a passion for numbers. Financial Planning allows me to join up my love of numbers with helping people plan their finances.
In October 2008 I began giving financial advice working for Results Financial Limited based in Sheffield. Having now obtained direct authorisation from the Financial Services Authority, I've launched MFP, a new financial planning business based in Husthwaite, North Yorkshire.
My aim is to get the business up and running with an ethos of providing quality financial advice at a fair price. My hope is that I can provide a service that overcomes the scepticism that many people have towards financial advisers.
My vision is to exploit any opportunities which arise to expand the business while maintaining the personal touch and ethos.
